REDTONE APPOINTS TUNKU TUN AMINAH AS CHAIR

Malaysian broadband services provider Redtone International has appointed Sultan of Johor’s daughter Tunku Tun Aminah Sultan Ibrahim Ismail as its chairperson, effective immediately. Tunku Tun Aminah replaces Datuk Seri Syed Ali Syed Abbas Al Habshee, who stepped down due to other commitments and responsibilities. Tunku Tun Aminah currently serves as chair of Berjaya Waterfront, as well as a director on the boards of other private companies, including Jauhari Maksima and Ikatan Jauhari.
Sultan Ibrahim Ismail currently owns 134 million shares in REDtone International, equivalent to a 17.91 percent stake. REDtone International’s largest shareholder is Tan Sri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun, who owns a 51.72 percent indirect stake via Berjaya Group.
